The labelling process involves applying a special code to the product (or packaging) that allows the goods to be tracked throughout the transportation and logistics chain.
While in case of applying a standard label that is familiar to the consumer some of the important criteria are appearance and decorativeness, in case of industrial and logistical labelling the possibility of applying variable data, accuracy, and the ease of application and reading come to the fore. Marking allows people to keep record of products, track their movement throughout the supply chain and protect manufacturers and consumers from counterfeiting.
At the TRANSPAK exhibition, in the section "Coding and Labelling," one will see:
· Labelling equipment (laser marking, ink jet printers, bar coding, RFID, holographic labels)
· Data acquisition equipment and readers
· Labels, inks, supplies
· Pertaining services
